STEAM Monthly Museum Meetup - Matter, Energy & Ecosystems In-Person
STEAM Monthly Museum Meetup in partnership with the San Diego Natural History Museum.
This month’s unit will focus on Matter, Energy and Ecosystems*.
What are we made of? How do plants and animals get the energy needed to grow and thrive? Students will explore these answers as well as the movement of matter and energy through ecosystems. Through lab experiments and games, students will gain an understanding of the flow and cycles involved in the building blocks of life.
Every unit aligns with California Common Core and Next Generation Science (NGSS) Standards. Complete lesson plan and sign up sheet in discussion post.
Please note that this unit aligns with 5th grade standards, but similar to other kits, is suitable for all ages. We encourage multi grade level participation as it allows an opportunity for the older children to teach the younger ones!
