Presidents Book Club - #41 George H.W. Bush

Presidents Book Club - #41 George H.W. Bush In-Person

The Presidents Book Club is designed to acquaint us with our United States presidents and the background history during their terms. We have been reading about each president in order of their service. Participants can access any material on the president they choose: book, qualified website, podcast, documentary. The purpose is to further our knowledge of our history through the lives of the presidents.

Join us for our 41st president, George H.W. Bush.  George Bush joined the Navy after graduating high school and became the Navy's youngest pilot ever. He flew 58 combat missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his bravery. After the war he went to Yale, was captain of the baseball team, and was a member of Skull and Bones, an elite secret society. His presidency is most known for the Persian Gulf War. He is the longest-lived president in US history, living till age 94.
