Fireside Book Club - Willie Boy: desert manhunt In-Person
The hunt for Willie Boy in September 1909 covered the front of the newspapers for 2 weeks. Though somewhat fictionalized in spots, this historic account by Harry Lawton is the story of a young Indian in Riverside County who was wanted for murder. The ensuing tracking of Willie Boy takes you through the canyons and washes of Riverside and San Bernardino County. All are welcome to attend book club.
