Fireside Book Club ~ Playground by Richard Powers In-Person
Richard Powers' 2024 award winning book "Playground" brings four people together on the island of Makatea in French Polynesia where the concept of colonizing the ocean with floating cities is being discussed. The story interweaves profound themes of technology and the environment, and a deep exploration of our shared humanity.
