MakerSpace Camp: Straw Rocket Launch
MakerSpace Camp: Straw Rocket Launch
Saturday, March 22, 2025
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Free | Ages 7-13 | RSVP Required
Makers between the ages of 7 to 13 can reserve a spot for our March 22, 2025, MakerSpace Camp: Straw Rocket Launch.
This month, they will cut out and construct their very own Nasa-designed Paper Rocket to be propelled by straws. These handmade rockets were designed to celebrate the Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A on March 12th, 2025!
Once their rockets are built, we will be hosting test flights to see how far their rockets will travel. The distances will be posted on social media at the end of the day.
Patrons must be at least 7 years of age to enter the Creation Station's MakerSpace room. Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If you have any questions about the Creation Station, please feel free to call, email or stop by during our hours of operation.
The Creation Station is located inside the La Quinta Public Library across the hall from the Community Program Room.
