Protecting Biodiversity: The Pantanal of Brazil ~with David Pearson In-Person
Join Dr. David Pearson of Idyllwild for a talk about the Pantanal, the world's largest freshwater wetland (more than 20 times the size of the Everglades), which is home to many unique species, and the challenges of maintaining biodiversity in the face of human and technical encroachment. Dr. David Pearson will also be sharing artwork created by Swiss graphic artist Fifo Stricker, with whom David has collaborated with for his book PANTANAL! FRAGIL. Through Stricker's watercolors, the book highlights the region's rich biodiversity and underscores the environmental challenges it faces.
